Psychotherapie und Coaching

Own self-awareness

After an extensive search for knowledge in my youth, shaped by intense LSD experiences and first encounters with Tibetan Buddhism, the desire arose to become a therapist. As was mainstream at the time, I first got to know some methods from therapists, who at that time were, among others, close students of Werner Erhard, the founder of EST training. But therapists from the circle of Osho were also there.

However, a method called Enlightenment Intensive, which was developed by the yogi and Californian communication scientist Charles Berner, left a really very intense and at that time formative impression. This seminar form combines “Eastern philosophy” with “modern communication” and “psychotherapy” like no other, it includes the intensive examination of the question: “Tell me who you are!”, and: “Tell me what another is!”.

At the same time I had experiences with fire walking. My first “walking attempts” with my own groups revolved around this topic.

My first extensive training in a psychotherapeutic method was the “Hakomi method”. This is a body-oriented method, which I explain in more detail in a separate article. Fortunately, I was able to get to know the founder “Ron Kurtz” of this method very personally. Towards the end of his life, he worked very intensively on the therapeutic relationship as the “actual supporting pillar of every form of therapy” and compiled all of this in his last book, which he was unable to finish himself before his death.

The second method I studied is “Systemic Therapy”, which also has its own presentation.

From all these influences, which are unfortunately not yet fully described here, my own view and also methodology has developed.
